It’s been a wee while! We have been busy travelling around London and Scotland and am now in the beautiful city of Nantes in France for 4 months. Along the way I managed to pick up a nice amount of exciting beauty items not available in NZ, including the much raved about Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, which I bought at Debenhams on Oxford St in London a month ago and I haven’t put it down since! This is such a gorgeous eye shadow palette and a must have for your makeup collection. I’m in love, and not to mention that this palette smells delicious of cocoa and vanilla. mmmm. I hope you enjoy these lovely large pictures and swatches and pointers about this wonderful chocolate bar palette.
Packaging – I love the chocolate bar appearance of the packaging! It’s is so cute and fun. Quite chunky packaging but in a way that makes me feel like the shadows are well protected. I loved having the mirror as it was so useful while I was travelling. The palette comes with a booklet including some looks, and also a clear sheet showing the names of eyeshadows as it isn’t actually printed anywhere on the palette itself. (So if you buy the palette and want to remember the names, don’t throw it out!)
The colours as you can see are gorgeous! I love every single colour in this palette (although strawberry bonbon is a bit questionable) and I feel they all work well together. This is the kind of palette that has everything you need. There is a good selection of matte eyeshadows as well as shimmery colours. Salted Caramel especially makes a gorgeous crease colour. The shimmery colours are beautifully smooth and not chunky. I also love there is a shimmery and matte highlight shade and that they are both double sized. You can do a real variety of looks with this palette, daytime looks to more dramatic night time looks. The shadows are beautifully pigmented and buttery smooth textured and blendable – so extremely nice to work with.
Overall, This palette was £45 and I believe it is such value for your money. This is a high quality and versatile palette and I highly recommend this to you all.
Hope this was helpful to any of you looking to add this beauty to your collection. 🙂 Any questions? just leave in the comments below!
